A little insight into a Prospress meetup, from the perspective of the new members of the team.
2018 was a big year for Prospress, and one of the best parts was our meetup in Hawaii. In this post we travel back in time to relive our memories of Prosparadise, and reflect on what happens when you get 18 internet nerds together in a tropical paradise.
“Paris is always a good idea”, said Audrey Hepburn. We agree! Prosparis was our best meetup ever, bringing the team together in the City of Light.
The fourth Prospress meetup took the company back to its roots in the LAN Downunder. It was all about beach, coffee, Tim Tams, karaoke, and even a bit of work.
My how time flies! We’ve had two excellent WooCommerce meetups in Vancouver since the last time I wrote a recap, sharing more knowledge than a Wikipedia page. I attempted to condense the wisdom of Joey and his talk about best practices for your WooCommerce store.
We all love WooCommerce, right? Maybe your gig is developing plugins, designing websites, or setting up eCommerce stores. Whatever it is, organising a WooCommerce meetup is a great way to contribute to the community. You’ll also meet like-minded internet people, and connect with local entrepreneurs!
Well, we didn’t know whether it was possible to top the first WooConf, but team Woo managed to do it the week before last. If you couldn’t make it to Austin for WooConf this year (or even if you could but you’re now suffering post-conf withdrawals), we’ve tried to recreate the magic for you here. Fix yourself a taco with diablo sauce, mix a margarita, and join us for a trip down WooConf memory lane.
This meetup! This meetup was a perfect storm! It was brilliant! It ended up being brilliant, despite all the things that went wrong. We learned about using plugins and getting plugins to play nicely with each other, and picked up other nuggets of wisdom along the way.
