I’m excited to announce that Prospress is formalising its contribution to WooCommerce. We are dedicating a new member of our team to contribute full-time to WooCommerce core development.
In this post, I share the backstory on this decision, and how we plan to make the new role work. I hope it can be instructive for other companies considering such a position.
Prospress has acquired AutomateWoo and associated products. Dan, the founder, is also joining Prospress full-time to lead development and direction of the products. AutomateWoo provides eCommerce automation to thousands of WooCommerce stores. Its functionality can automate marketing, fulfilment, and many other everyday tasks required to grow an eCommerce business.
This is a transcript of a talk I gave at the Prospress meetup in December 2016. I’m publishing it here to share some of the philosophy of our company, and plans for our future. If you like what you read, we’re hiring and would love to chat with you about working together.
Is your dream to quit your job, start a business and be your own boss?
That was my dream too. It’s been an amazing journey from very humble beginnings—brainstorming business ideas while renting a loungeroom in a share house—to launching Prospress today.
But in reality, the journey has only just begun.
