I’m excited to announce that Prospress is formalising its contribution to WooCommerce. We are dedicating a new member of our team to contribute full-time to WooCommerce core development.
In this post, I share the backstory on this decision, and how we plan to make the new role work. I hope it can be instructive for other companies considering such a position.
Subscriptions version 2.3 was released on July 5th. Prospress has acquired AutomateWoo and associated products. Dan, the founder, is also joining Prospress full-time to lead development and direction of the products. AutomateWoo provides eCommerce automation to thousands of WooCommerce stores. Its functionality can automate marketing, fulfilment, and many other everyday tasks required to grow an eCommerce business.

Lauren gives us an insight into her first WordCamp, first Prospress meetup, and first time in the Southern Hemisphere. It was a big month of firsts!
The fourth Prospress meetup took the company back to its roots in the LAN Downunder. It was all about beach, coffee, Tim Tams, karaoke, and even a bit of work.
Half of the Prospress team went to WordCamp US in Philadelphia. Along with inspiration and learning from the scheduled sessions, we also ended up in a deep conversation about the simulation theory, AI, and the singularity.
